Lotions, creams, make-up and deodorant are removed before treatment as these can obstruct or refract the laser light therapy. Make up, hot water and perfumed products are advised to be used 24 hours after treatment. If you don’t shave before your appointment, the laser will singe the hair resulting in a burn to your skin. If the hair hasn’t been shaved properly, treatment will not be as effective.
